It’s been a rough summer here at the Dish. I lost my mother last month and am traveling to her funeral in a few days. And then this week, Chris’ stepfather, Steve, died of a sudden heart attack while doing what he loved most, cycling, along the Columbia River near Portland. Chris is flying out there to spend time with his mother and other family.
There are just two of us here, as you know. So we are going to take an extra week of bereavement leave to give us both a chance to absorb the losses and recuperate a bit. Thanks for understanding. We know it’s election season, but maybe this is a good chance for us to sit back, take stock, and think again about this constantly shifting political landscape. We also need to grieve a little.
See you August 30 for what will surely be an exciting and fascinating fall.
