Peter is a political activist, most famously as a pioneering member of ACT UP — the grassroots AIDS group that challenged and changed the federal government. He founded both the Treatment Action Group (TAG) and the educational website AIDSmeds.com. He also stars in the Oscar-nominated documentary “How to Survive a Plague.” Check out his memoir, "Never Silent: ACT UP and My Life in Activism."
